There are a lot of fitness business “summits” and “conferences” out there, but all of them typically go the same way:

You show up to see the 10-20 speakers on the line-up, listen to the 50 minute presentations, jot down a couple notes, take a few pictures with your favorite people and leave fired up to make big changes in your business.

However, when you get home you soon realize that really all you got was just a taste of information from the speakers, but few concrete action items specific to YOUR business and YOUR situation.

You learned a couple great sales tips.

Got a quick overview of Facebook ads.

Found out about a couple easy ways to some extra money to your bottom line temporarily.

Lots of tactics but not any real strategy.

Let’s face it, strategy takes way more than 50 minutes to develop. Not to mention that you’re stuck trying to piece together a system based on how 15 different people run their business without the full picture.

But what if there was fitness business event that disrupted this dysfunctional pattern?

An event that featured 2 of the most prolific fitness business owners in the country spending 2 full days covering every detail of how they run their businesses, what methods they are using that defy the traditional school of thought, and helping attendees adapt these practices to their own businesses by working with them individually.

It’s here and it’s going to blow you away.

The Old Model Is Broken

DISRUPT is the first 2-day event of its kind. One that brings together two of the most successful gym owners in America that are not only redefining what a fitness business can do, but also kicking the traditional model in the face.

The market is changing right in front of our eyes. Gyms and training studios are popping up on every corner and customers want more for their money. Gone are the days where you could pick up members or clients left and right just for giving great workouts and getting people results. The new breed of fitness customer has options, is educated, and wants an “experience.”

To thrive under these new conditions, it is imperative to leave the old gym model behind and break some of the rules. Rules like forcing coaches to wear a branded uniform, running a cookie-cutter business model, or not voicing any opinions that might offend anyone. You know, the same kind of shit that keeps businesses from being able to create a unique culture or identity.

By attending DISRUPT you will get a rare peek behind the curtain of the new non-traditional gyms that are redefining the fitness space. Mark Fisher and Pete Dupuis will share everything that has taken them from zero to one including their business strategies, building and marketing their brand, and even how they hire and develop a team of rockstars.

The best part is that they are going to help you do it too. After each carefully designed presentation, there will be a one-hour action session where both pros will sit down and help you adapt their material to YOUR business and solve YOUR biggest problems. You’ll return home with a slew of new connections and a list of action items that will propel your business and life forward.

In order to keep this event intimate and ensure the highest level of interaction with the speakers we can only accept 30 registrations. So, if you’re ready to finally make breakthroughs in your business and set yourself up for success, then you’ll want to register right away.

9:00am – Part 1: Lessons on Scaling and Leveraging Partner Expertise (Pete)

Few people realize that behind the scenes at Cressey Sports Performance and Mark Fisher Fitness, there exists a functional partnership featuring “the name,” and “the guy behind the guy.” This presentation will present an inside look at the delineation of roles and responsibilities between Pete and his business partner, Eric.

Attendees will gain an appreciation for the importance of establishing a partnership that features complimentary skill sets, and a willingness to double-down on specific areas of expertise for the purpose of niche development. We’ll delve into the most important attributes to seek in identifying an optimal partner, and the combination of business personalities that needs to exist in a business with long-term viability.

Part 2: The Trials & Tribulations of Adding a Second Fitness Facility (Pete)

One plus one does not equal two.

This is a cliché people like to throw in the face of parents expecting their second child, and more often than not, they are 100% correct. As it turns out, the message applies to fitness businesses making the jump from a single, to multiple locations. Cressey Sports Performance became a multi-facility operation during the fall of 2014, and the process was anything but smooth.

In this presentation, Pete will discuss the importance of establishing rock solid systems, the challenges associated with transplanting a culture-driven business into a new space, and some of the biggest mistakes he and his business partners made along the way.

11:00am – Action and Implementation Session

12:00pm – Lunch

1:00pm – Finding, Developing, and Keeping a Team of Superstars (Mark)

If you’re looking to create a business that can run without you, you’ll need a team of people you trust and who trust you. Attendees will get a chance to cover everything from hiring to on-boarding to long term development to creating and holding team members accountable to performance standards.

In addition to an overview of theory and access to Mark Fisher Fitness’s systems, attendees will also get the chance to create their own systems and leave with a clear plan for implementation. While truly “passive income” is generally a myth, you can learn to create a business that grows and thrives even if you’re off the grid. In this workshop, we’ll show you how.
