Pete Dupuis

Pete Dupuis is the Vice President and Co-Founder of Cressey Sports Performance. He has served as business director of CSP since it was established in 2007. Since graduating with an MBA from Babson College during the spring of 2007, Pete has been able to apply his entrepreneurial skills in helping to build CSP into the prominent strength and conditioning facility that it is today.

Having overseen the development and growth of three separate CSP locations, Pete has discovered a passion for brand management, social media strategy, and facility layout design and implementation. He maintains a weekly blog discussing the business of fitness, and consults for gym owners around the world as they strive to achieve a sustainable and profitable business model.

Mark Fisher

Mark Fisher is an in-demand international speaker, consultant, and entrepreneur.

His core expertise is helping business owners achieve financial success and personal freedom through community building, leadership development, and creating healthy organizational cultures. He’s also excellent at playing with puppies.

In this workshop, you’ll go deep with Mark Fisher and see exactly how Mark Fisher Fitness has used mission, values, and vision to drive their business from day one. Attendees will spend time working on developing their own culture pillars, getting feedback from Mark, and creating a plan to actively use the pillars in their business on a daily basis.

The end result will be magnetically attracting more of the right clients and team members, and a business that’s clear on where it’s going and what it stands for. This will lead to more revenue for the business, more buy-in from the staff, and more personal freedom and lifestyle design for the owner-operator.

Few people realize that behind the scenes at Cressey Sports Performance and Mark Fisher Fitness, there exists a functional partnership featuring “the name,” and “the guy behind the guy.” This presentation will present an inside look at the delineation of roles and responsibilities between Pete and his business partner, Eric.

Attendees will gain an appreciation for the importance of establishing a partnership that features complimentary skill sets, and a willingness to double-down on specific areas of expertise for the purpose of niche development. We’ll delve into the most important attributes to seek in identifying an optimal partner, and the combination of business personalities that needs to exist in a business with long-term viability.

Part 2: The Trials & Tribulations of Adding a Second Fitness Facility (Pete)

One plus one does not equal two.

This is a cliché people like to throw in the face of parents expecting their second child, and more often than not, they are 100% correct. As it turns out, the message applies to fitness businesses making the jump from a single, to multiple locations. Cressey Sports Performance became a multi-facility operation during the fall of 2014, and the process was anything but smooth.

In this presentation, Pete will discuss the importance of establishing rock solid systems, the challenges associated with transplanting a culture-driven business into a new space, and some of the biggest mistakes he and his business partners made along the way.
